New Delhi: In the previous 24 hours, India has reported 30,757 new COVID-19 cases and 541 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The country's active caseload now stands at 3,32,918, or 0.78 percent of all COVID cases reported thus far. The weekly positivity rate is 3.04 percent, with a daily positivity rate of 2.61 percent.
According to the health ministry, 67,538 recoveries have been registered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries across the country to 4,19,10,984. The percentage of recovery was 98.03 percent. With 11,79,705 tests done in the last 24 hours, the testing capacity across the country continues to grow. India has completed 75,55,32,460 cumulative tests so far.In the case of COVID-19 vaccination, about 174.24 crore vaccine doses have been distributed so far as part of the statewide vaccination campaign.
The central government ordered all states and union territories to examine and revise or breaking down barriers COVID-19 limitations on Wednesday, citing a persistent decreasing trend in the pandemic in the country.
The Centre also requested that all states and UTs continue to track the progression of cases on a daily basis and adhere to the five-step plan of testing, tracking, treating, immunisation, and COVID-appropriate behaviour.
