New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported on Saturday that India had 1,150 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, with a case positive rate of 0.25 percent.

The overall number of active cases in the country is 11,365, or 0.03 percent of the total number of cases.

In the previous 24 hours, 1,194 COVID patients have recovered, bringing the overall number of recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 4,25,01,196. The country's recovery rate is currently at 98.76 percent.

According to the Ministry, 83 patients have died as a result of the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,21,656. In the last 24 hours, 4,66,362 COVID samples were tested. So far, 79.34 crore tests have been performed in India, with a weekly positivity rate of 0.23 percent.

In terms of immunisation, 14,79,544 COVID vaccine doses were given out during this time, bringing the total number of vaccines given out during the Nationwide Vaccination Drive to 1,85,55,07,496.
