New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 10,929 new cases of the novel coronavirus, with 392 deaths as a result of the infection. According to data released on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry, the country saw a total of 12,509 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to around 98.23 percent, the highest since March 2020, and total recoveries data to 3,37,37,468. According to ministry data, the number of active COVID-19 cases in India has decreased to 1,46,950.

Up until November 5, 61,39,65,751 samples had been tested for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Friday, 8,10,783 of these samples were tested. The country's total death toll now stands at 4,60,265 people. The first death from the COVID pandemic was reported in India in March 2020.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Kerala reported 6,580 new COVID-19 cases and 46 deaths, bringing the total number of people affected to 5,001,835 and the death toll to 33,048. Thiruvananthapuram had the most cases (878), followed by Ernakulam (791) and Thrissur (791). (743). A total of 7,085 people recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of people who have recovered to 48,94,435. According to the state health department, 62,219 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and 46 wards in 39 local self-government bodies have a weekly infection population ratio of more than 10 percent.
