The ministry has urged state governments to assess the covid-19 situation at the local level (districts and sub-districts) and to keep their attention on putting the essential measures in place for timely and effective covid-19 management while also ensuring effective compliance.

1,815 patients have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, totaling almost 4.44 crore people. At this time, the recovery rate is 98.78%. A day's worth of testing, or about 55,636, brings the total number of tests to 92.86 crore.

More than 220.66 crore vaccine doses have now been given to citizens of the country as part of the COVID vaccination effort. Approximately 367 vaccination doses were given out in the previous 24 hours.
