New Delhi: India reported 15,102 new COVID-19 infections and 278 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. With this one-day increase in COVID-19 infections, the country's total number of cases has risen to 4,28,67,031. There are 1,64,522 active cases, accounting for 0.38 percent of all cases. 

According to the data, 31,377 new Coronavirus recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries across India to 4,21,89,887. The current recovery rate is 98.42 percent. The death toll has risen to 5,12,622 people.

In addition, the Union Ministry stated that 11,83,438 tests were performed in the previous 24 hours, with a daily positivity rate of 1.28 percent. As far as the COVID-19 vaccination push is concerned, about 176.19 crore vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide vaccine drive.

According to data shared by the health department, Delhi reported 498 Covid cases on Tuesday, with a positive rate of 0.96 percent and one death owing to the infection. According to the report, 51,793 tests were completed the day before, and 411 patients were discharged. According to the report, the number of cases in the national capital has climbed to 18,57,015, with a death toll of 26,106. Meanwhile, Kerala is accountable for 130 of the new fatalities reported today, as per the state health department.
