COVID immunisation for children aged 12 to 14 years will begin on March 16, and the co-morbidity clause for delivering preventive doses to people aged 60 and up has been removed, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
Corbevax, a COVID-19 vaccine made by Biological Evans in Hyderabad, would be given to children aged 12 to 14.

The Union government has decided to begin COVID19 vaccination for the 12-13 and 13-14 year age groups (those born in 2008, 2009, and 2010, i.e. those who are already over 12 years of age) of the population on March 16, 2022, after due deliberation with scientific bodies, according to a statement from the health ministry.
