Hyderabad: The number of infected people in the state has increased to over 2.91 lakh in telangana as per the figures released by the government till 14 pm on January 14, after 202 new cases in Covid-19 cases. The death toll rose to 1,572 with two more patients dying from the infection. The number of recoveries from Covid-19 crossed 2.85 lakhon Friday.

The greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has recorded a maximum of 48 new cases. After this, 15 cases were reported in Ranga Reddy and 13 cases in Warangal urban areas. According to the Health Department bulletin, a total of 2,91,118 cases have been reported in the state so far out of which 2,85,102 have become infectious.

Health officials said that 253 people have been cured in the last 24 hours, and the total number of cures has reached 2,85,102. The recovery rate increased to 97.93 percent compared to the national average of 96.5 percent.

About 74 lakh samples were tested in the state on Thursday with 19,898 tests. According to the data, the recovery rate of patients in the state is 97.93 per cent, and the death rate from Covid-19 is 0.54 per cent. The number of active cases in the state is 4,442. The total number of cases in the state has increased to 2,91,118. Two more people were infected with the virus, with the total number of deaths rising to 1,574.

According to the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, the mortality rate is 0.54 per cent against the national average of 1.4 per cent. In the last 24 hours, 48 new cases have been registered in Greater Hyderabad. Ranga Reddy district has 15 new cases in Malkajgiri, 13 in Warangal Urban and 12 new cases in Karimnagar. In the last 24 hours, a total of 19,898 Covid trials have been conducted across the state. Government-owned laboratories conducted 17,209 tests and the remaining 2,689 samples were tested in private laboratories.

Covid-19 new 276 cases were reported in Telangana.
