Covid-19: Pakistan reports 7,539 new cases, 25 more deaths

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan's National Command and Operation Centre announced on Thursday that 7,539 new Covid-19 cases had been detected in the previous 24 hours.

According to the centre, which is in charge of Pakistan's pandemic response, the country's total number of confirmed cases has grown to 1,393,887.

According to the Pakistan news media report, at least 25 people have died from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 29,162, with 1,240 patients in serious condition.

During that time, 1,784 people were able to recover from Covid, increasing the overall number of recoveries to 1,272,871, according to the centre.

With 533,496 infections, the southern Sindh province is the worst-affected, followed by the eastern Punjab province with 469,540 cases.
