Covid-19 state of affairs in Beijing is extremely dire

Beijing: According to reports, close contacts of confirmed Covid-19 cases visited the Universal Studios theme park in Beijing on October 24. On Saturday, two new locally transmitted cases were reported in Beijing, both in Changping district. Changping shut down 23 businesses, including pharmacies and hair salons, after shutting down 44 for failing to implement epidemic prevention and control measures.All visitors to the Universal Studios theme park on October 24 were notified to have nucleic acid testing and necessary health checks, and all park staff members were notified to have nucleic acid testing and a Covid-19 vaccine booster shot.

After the Chinese capital reported nearly 30 confirmed cases in less than two weeks, the Beijing government urged Universal Studios to implement Covid-19 emergency management on Friday. All students in primary and middle schools in Beijing's Haidian district will be tested for nucleic acids.

In the meantime, all teachers are required to take the exams. Vaccination for students over the age of three will begin on November 1st. Due to epidemic concerns, the China Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing has announced a three-day closure beginning Saturday, with all scheduled performances and activities cancelled.
