New Delhi: According to the Union Health Ministry, India's cumulative vaccination coverage has reached 134.61 crore after the distribution of 68,89,025 COVID-19 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry's press statement, "According to preliminary reports, India's COVID-19 immunisation coverage has surpassed 134.61 Cr (1,34,61,14,483) as of 7 a.m. today. This was accomplished with a total of 1,41,10,887 sessions." It further stated that with the recovery of 8,168 patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered patients crossed to 3,41,46,931 since the start of the epidemic.
India's recovery rate has risen to 98.38 percent, the highest since March 2020, according to the ministry. In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 6,984 new COVID-19 cases and 247 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry. "Active cases account for 0.25 percent of total positive cases in the country, the lowest level since March 2020," the ministry stated.
"The weekly positivity rate of 0.67 percent has been below 1 percent for the past 31 days. The daily positive rate was 0.59 percent, according to reports. For the past 72 days, the daily positivity rate has been below 2 per cent, and for the past 107 days, it has been below 3 percent "The ministry went on to say more.
