New Delhi: Preparations for corona vaccination in the country have been accelerated. Vaccination rehearsal has been done across the country on Saturday. The Union Health Ministry recently said, 'This exercise was done at 285 vaccination centers in 128 districts across the country which has been successful.' Yesterday, the Union Health Minister, Dr. Harshvardhan himself visited the rehearsal by visiting two Delhi centers, GTB Hospital and Urban Primary Health Center, Daryaganj.

Harshavardhana, who left from there, said that vaccination rehearsal was done in four states of the country on 28–29 December in which necessary improvements were made to the program based on the feedback received and were practiced throughout the country on Saturday. On the other hand, as per the Ministry of Health, 75 lakh people have registered for vaccination on Kovin so far. Apart from this, people who have registered will get SMS to visit the vaccination center.

A day before the Subject Expert Committee has recommended to approve emergency use of Kovishield, a corona vaccine prepared by the Serum Institute. It is now expected that the vaccine will be approved in a day or two and after that the vaccination program will be started. According to the information received, the practice of regular vaccination will continue till the actual vaccine of Kovid-19 is available in Assam. At least 25 health workers participated in the vaccination rehearsal held on Saturday in four districts of Kerala. It is being told that so far 3.13 lakh people have been registered for it.
