New Delhi: Both covaxin and covishield made in India are effective against all variants that aggravate the problems of corona infection. The Government has claimed that both vaccines are effective against alpha, beta, gamma and delta variants of corona. The study about Delta Plus is still underway. According to reports received earlier, the Health Ministry had said that both the corona vaccines (covishield and covaxin) work against the alpha, beta, gamma and delta forms of corona.

There are 4 forms of corona infection - alpha, beta, gamma and delta anxiety variants, while delta-related Delta Plus variants have also added to the problems in the country. Speaking at a press conference, General Balram Bhargava, Director, Indian Council for Medical Research said that the vaccine's capabilities to eliminate different variants are seen to be deficient. He said that India is fully effective on the covaxin alpha variant of biotech. He explained, '2 with covicshield alpha. It is reduced by 5 times. Covaxin is effective in delta variants, but antibody reaction decreases by three times, while for covishield, the decrease is twice, while in Pfizer and Moderna, the decrease is seven times.

However, covishield and covaxin are effective against the forms of corona virus – "alpha, beta, gamma and delta," Bhargava explained. Referring to the Delta Plus format, he said that it is now present in 12 countries. He said that 48 cases have been reported in 10 delta plus states in India and they are very local. And the highest number of 20 of them are from Maharashtra. According to the Health Ministry, delta plus variants have received seven cases each in Madhya Pradesh, 20 in Maharashtra, two in Punjab, 2 in Gujarat, three in Kerala, nine in Tamil Nadu, one each in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Jammu, Karnataka.
