In an interview, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO) said that if everyone did a good job, we would probably develop the vaccine in the next 12-18 months but after that there would be a question of availability of adequate medicines . It will probably take 18-24 months.

The first phase of clinical trials has begun in the US Seattle. It is funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. This open trial will be done in six weeks on healthy adult volunteers aged 18 to 55 years.

Coronavirus vaccine will come to market soon, work going on in US

The researchers of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences affiliated to the People's Liberation Army of China have received permission to test the vaccine. It will recruit 108 people between March and December.
