Baghpat: The fear of up police is rampant these days. In such a situation, the criminals have been forced to surrender here. In fact, two accused of cow smuggling in Baghpat recently reached Doghat police station in panic and surrendered before the police. The accused reportedly reached the police station and said, "Sir, arrest us. We are cow smugglers and the police are after us. We are afraid that the police will not shoot and injure us in the encounter. We have a case of cow smuggling registered against us. We will not commit such a crime in future. I'm sorry this time.''

Police questioned the duo on the directions of Inspector Dinesh Kumar Chikara in the case and arrested them and lodged them in jail. Some cows were reportedly found tied up in the forest of Fouladnagar village in Baghpat about a month ago. The gauvansh was freed by the police after receiving information about the same. The names of the seven accused came to light when a case was registered in the case and the police started investigating. In the list, police arrested Furkan, Gulpham, Usman, Mehrdin and Naved and sent them to jail while Ikram's son Noora and Rizwan's son Naseer resident Fouladnagar were absconding.

Now, last Saturday, the two accused reached Doghat police station on their own and both of them raised their hands and told the police, "We have a case of cow smuggling registered against us, arrest us. The accused also said, "The soldiers posted at the police post are following them and they are afraid that they may not be shot in the police encounter." At the same time, the accused also said, "They will not commit such a crime any further. Police have now arrested the duo and sent them to jail."
