Kochi: A case of stabbing murder of a regional leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) at Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala has come to light. CPIM Peringara local secretary PB Sandeep Kumar was attacked by 5 miscreants who came on a motorcycle at 8 pm on Thursday.

Four accused have been arrested in the case and the cause of murder is being ascertained. One of the accused is said to be a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker. CPIM Executive Secretary A Vijayaraghavan has alleged that rashtriya swayamsevak sangh (RSS) was behind the attack.

Meanwhile, the BJP has made it clear that the party has nothing to do with the murder case. The BJP said the murder was a case of mutual rivalry and one of the arrested accused, who claimed to be a BJP worker, had been expelled from the party only last year. The arrested accused include Jishanu of Chathangeri, Nandu from Vengal, Pramod of Payapad and Faizi of Kannur. A RSS worker has also been brutally murdered in Kerala earlier .
