New Delhi: CPM leader Sitaram Yechury has been targeted by the Centre's Modi government in the charge sheet of the Delhi riots. Sitaram Yechury has said that the Central government has ordered the Delhi Police to cordon off the opposition, in any way. In a tweet, Yechury said that this is the real face, character, move and contemplation of Modi and bjp. They will be opposed.

It may be noted that delhi police has recently filed an additional charge sheet related to the Delhi riots. The delhi police chargesheet has names of people including Sitaram Yechury, Swaraj India's Yogendra Yadav, Professor Apurvanand, economist Jayati Ghosh, filmmaker Rahul Roy and many others. Former CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has reacted sharply when he was named in the chargesheet. In a tweet, he wrote, "Delhi Police works under the BJP's Central Government and The Home Ministry. The illegal acts reflect the character of the BJP's top political leadership, fear opposition questions and peaceful demonstrations, and want to stop us from misusing power."

In a tweet, Comrade Yechury said that this Modi government is not only afraid of questions in Parliament, it is afraid of holding press talks and answering RTI, whether it is Modi's personal fund or showing his degree. All unconstitutional policies and unconstitutional steps of this government will continue to be opposed.
