Colombo: Due to the ever increasing corona havoc on one side and the ever increasing epidemic due to this virus on the other, many innocent lives are at stake today. Thousands of people died every day due to corona. Due to this virus, there are so many families who become tawah every day. Due to the coronavirus, now the human aspect has started to appear as it is ending, where so far more than 114000 deaths have taken place worldwide due to this virus.

Corona wreaks havoc in America and Japan

Sri Lanka has amended the law to make cremation mandatory in the event of death from the coronavirus to prevent any possible danger, despite strong opposition from the Muslim community. The law has been amended under the Gazette issued by the health minister of the government, Pavitra Vanniarachchi. According to the news agency AFP, Sri Lanka has so far suffered more than 200 corona infections and seven people have died. There are three Muslims among them.

The gazette of April 11 stated that the body of the person suspected of death due to coronavirus will be cremated. Vanniyarachchi said that the dead body would be burnt at a temperature between 800 and 1200 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour. He said the cremation should take place at the cemetery or a place approved by the authorities. The amended law also prohibits handing over of the dead body to anyone other than the person performing the duties required to perform the cremation. This move of the government is opposing the Muslim community of the country.
