New Delhi: A student, who graduated from Delhi University, has been arrested by the police on charges of doing drug business. Sarin (30), a resident of Karol Bagh was caught smuggling. Police arrested him along with fellow smuggler Sameer Sharma (28). 400 grams of charas and 500 mg of cannabis oil have been recovered from them. He brought charas and hemp oil from Himachal and sold it in Delhi and NCR through mobile apps.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ram Gopal Nayak said that on 27 September, Inspector Shiv Darshan, posted at the Narcotics Cell of Crime Branch, was reported to have supplied Charas to Dhruv Sarin and Sameer in West Delhi and Gurugram. Police monitored them and arrested them from near Shankar Road. A search of his Honda City car found 400 grams of charas and 500 mg of cannabis oil. During interrogation, Dhruv said that while graduating from correspondence with DU, he fell into wrong company and started consuming charas.

He met a man from Bhuntar, Himachal. He used to supply Charas from Himachal to Delhi and NCR. Dhruv bought a Honda City car and started supplying Charas with it. Sameer Sharma got addicted to charas while studying at a renowned institute in Gurugram. He met Dhruv through his friends. After this, both partners started smuggling Charas.
