Aligarh: A gang of robbers has been arrested for looting a beekeeper by taking him hostage. The beekeeper was taken as hostage and 80 boxes of bees worth several lakh rupees were looted. The incident took place in a garden on the night of 10th August in the Gangheri area. The gang was nabbed by the police on Friday night. The looted goods have been recovered from the gang.

In a further interrogation, it has been revealed that gang leader Mudit Sharma had fixed a deal of five lakh for the murder of a property dealer in Hathras. The murder was scheduled to be carried out next week. Police have sent the bullies to jail. The search for a fugitive crook is continuing. On the other hand, the property dealer of Hathras has informed the Hathras Police about the betel nut.

SP Mani Lal Patidar told a press conference in the police line on Saturday that on Friday night, The Gangheri police and the SOG arrested five peoples in a Bolero pick-up car, on the basis of information. However, a miscreant escaped. The mastermind of the arrested gang is Mudit Sharma alias Lucky son Arvind Sharma, resident Mansarovar Colony, Panni Nagar, Kotwali Bulandshahar. The Police has recovered four firearms, bullets, a box full of 78 looted bees, a Bolero Pick-up.
