Varanasi: A case of murder has been registered in Varanasi. Handicapped tea vendor was murdered but still is unable to catch the culprits.  The police arrested Ashu Gupta, wife of Ravi Patel, resident of Ramdattpur, Ajay Patel and Vikas Gupta of Daniyalpur, Suresh Patel of Sarauni and Ajay Patel of Madhavpur on Tuesday.  The five were presented in the court, from where they were sent to jail.

Dilip Patel, a resident of Madhwa village, was shot dead on September 3 by firing indiscriminately. A murder case was registered against eight, including one lakh crook Jhunna Pandit and his henchman Ravi, at the police station, Dilip's younger brother Pradeep, at Cantt police station. Teams including Crime Branch raided from Purvanchal to New Delhi and Himachal Pradesh for the arrest of the named miscreants but no one has been traced till now.

In this regard, SSP Anand Kulkarni said that the raids of police teams are on in search of the named miscreants. Those who patronize and cooperate with the miscreants are being arrested and marked.
