Lucknow: Police arrested three miscreants of Muzaffarnagar district of New Mandi in the encounter on Monday night. All three crooks were injured due to bullet shot in the leg. All the three arrested are well-known miscreants of Meerut, including Monu alias Pradeep, a gang leader of 25 thousand and Anuj Yadav of 20 thousand. During the encounter, a miscreant escaped, which is engaged by the police search.

According to the information received, SSP Abhishek Yadav said that on Monday night, police was checking on Jolly Road at New Mandi Kotwali. Just then, four young men riding two bikes were seen coming. When the police signalled them to stop, the youth started firing on the police and started running towards Kukri Road. When the police retaliated, three miscreants fell from the bike while injured after being shot, while a miscreant escaped. The police caught the injured miscreants. The miscreants named themselves as Monu alias Pradeep son Nirbhay Sharan resident teacher colony, Bahusuma, Meerut, Anuj Yadav son Atarpal resident Tohfapur, Incholi, Meerut and Praveen son Sattu resident Sarurpur Khurd Meerut, while the fourth rogue who was absconding is being told of Devendra resident Sarurpur.

According to the information received, it has been revealed, where the SSP said that in the case of 307 in Ganganagar police station on behalf of Meerut police, a reward of 25000 has been announced on the wanted youth and 20000 on his friend. The young man is a gang leader, where these miscreants have confessed to shooting and looting Amrish Goel, owner of Manmohan Jewelers in Petrol Pump on Bhopa Road on the night of 2 November and in New Mandi Bhartia Colony on 6 November. Talking about sources, the SSP said that the miscreants looted silver, 3000 rupees from the petrol pump workers, their IDs, two bikes, three pistols, etc. were recovered. The injured miscreants have been admitted to the hospital.
