Lucknow: UP's Special Task Force has detained two accused, Sanjay Yadav, who lives in Khoda Colony, and Harshit Sharma from Shahdara Delhi. These two criminals used to cheat millions by fraud in ATM. Police have also seized 45 ATM chips and dozens of ATM cards from them. For the past several months, the Special Task Force had been receiving information about organized gangs cheating banks in Delhi-NCR. A team of task force SP Kuldeep Narayan and sub inspector DK Tyagi were on the lookout for ATM card criminals. On May 21, the STF team received information that the big leader of ATM Fraud was coming to Khoda Colony for money transactions. The STF team reached Khoda and cordoned off the spot and detained the two criminals in collaboration with Ghaziabad police.

When the arrested accused Sanjay Yadav was questioned strictly by the police, he said he was 12th pass. The accused Sanjay Yadav had been working for courier delivery at The Bluedart Company for nearly 3 years. He had also gone to criminal Kuldeep's house in Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad 3-4 times while making courier delivery. The two had a close friendship. It was Kuldeep who then informed Sanjay Yadav about the atm card fraud.

Initially Kuldeep used to give Rs 5,000 per card to Sanjay Yadav and later half of the money he received by fraud. In exchange for this money, Sanjay Yadav used to give Kuldeep an ATM card for a few hours before delivery. Also, the mobile number registered in the customer's account, which was written with the address in the courier, was also noted.

The accused used to use the call spoofing app from the registered mobile number to find out the balance of the card holder's bank account from the bank's automatic call response system. No OTP is generated in this process. Therefore, the actual customer cannot detect this activity. In addition, Sanjay Yadav deliberately sought details of the customer's Aadhaar card from the customer while delivering the ATM card to the customer.

Sanjay Yadav along with Kuldeep used to change the chip from the original ATM card. To get the PIN code required for this ATM card, the bank's interactive wire response system also obtained the ATM card PIN code by stating the atm card number, expiry date, Aadhaar number date of birth. The police have busted the gang. The interrogation of the accused is underway.
