Ahmedabad: An alert was issued in Gujarat after 'bird flu' cases were reported from several other states of the country. Meanwhile, four crows have been found dead in Mehsana district on Thursday. The officials have given information about this. According to officials, these crows have been found dead in the compound of the famous Sun Temple in Modhera village of Mehsana.

Mehsana animal husbandry officer Dr Bharat Desai has told the media that samples of dead crows have been sent to Bhopal's laboratory for examination to ascertain whether their death was due to bird flu or some other reason. Desai said that a large number of birds die suddenly due to bird flu. However, only four birds have died due to unknown causes in this case. We have sent their samples to a lab in Bhopal for detailed analysis and investigation.

He said that as a precaution, the animal husbandry department of Mehsana has collected the remains and blood samples of 50 migratory birds from Thole Lake and sent them to Bhopal for examination. The animal husbandry department of Gujarat has issued an alert and increased vigil across the state on Wednesday in view of bird flu.
