Chattisgarh: In Sukma district the personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been attacked by the Naxals.  The incident took place on personnel of the 74th Battalion of the CRPF.

In the encounter, 25 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been killed by the Naxals while Six other CRPF personnel were injured in an encounter. The CRPF personnel were helping the people in road construction in the district.

Just after the incident Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister Raman Singh called up an emergency meeting  of senior civil and law enforcement officials
