A crucial match between Royal challengers and Kings XI Punjab is going to take place today in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. As RCB has bowling as its weakness, Kings XI Punjab struggles while batting. Some great records and performance witnessed in this ninth edition of IPL included those of Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers as they lead the run chart. Captaincy change, injury setbacks and rumours of bad blood in the camp on the other hand have proved to be spoilers for Kings XI Punjab.

As the Chinnaswamy grund is small, it might be difficult for Punjab to make life difficult for RCB after the loss of Glenn Maxwell. To go on par with Gujarat Lions and Mumbai Indians on points and beat them based on the Net run rate, Punjab will need a soild win today.Kings XI have managed only four wins out of the 12 matches they have played so far.

Royal Challengers have in their previous matches also benefited from KL Rahul's good form, as well as crucial knocks from Shane Watson and Sachin Baby. Chris Gayle's 49 on Monday was yet another sign for oppositions. The team's weaknesses in bowling remain an ever-present worry, though. It increasingly looks like Royal Challengers' fortunes hinge on batting might alone as whenever they have won, it was more because of their excellent batting.

With both the teams having their strengths and weaknesses, lets see what happens in today's match.
