New Delhi: There was no change in petrol and diesel prices on Wednesday. A day earlier, oil marketing companies had cut the prices of both vehicle fuels. The price of crude oil in the international market has again returned after a drop in the last session. According to Indian Oil's website, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai are steady at Rs 90.56, Rs 90.77, Rs 96.98, and Rs 92.58 per liter respectively without any change.
Diesel prices also prevail in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai at Rs 80.87, Rs 83.75, Rs 87.96, and Rs 85.88 per liter respectively. Oil marketing companies had reduced the price of petrol by 22 paise in Delhi, 21 paise in Kolkata and Mumbai, and 19 paise per liter in Chennai on Tuesday. The price of diesel was reduced by 23 paise in Delhi and Kolkata while 24 paise in Mumbai and 22 paise per liter in Chennai.
Brent crude's June delivery contract on the International Futures Market Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) was trading at $64.47 a barrel, up 0.47 percent from the last session on Wednesday. Brent declined by more than one percent in the last session. WTI's May contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange was trading at $60.85 a barrel, up 0.50 percent from the last session.
