Giridih: An incident of burning by sprinkling kerosene after raping a woman who had gone to defecate in a village in Jharkhand's Giridih district has come to light. The police have arrested Sunil Chaudhary, the son of the former chief, on the charge of rape. As soon as the news of the matter was received, the family members admitted the victim to the Sadar Hospital. Seeing the situation as critical, she was later sent to Dhanbad hospital.

The victim had gone out for defecation on Wednesday night. Due to this, Sunil Chaudhary took her to a secluded place and raped her. When the victim created a ruckus, the villagers reached there. Before the woman could present her side, her brother-in-law and other villagers beat her up and started throttling her. Thereafter, kerosene oil was sprinkled on the body. Meanwhile, some people tried to save her. As soon as the news was received, people from the maternal home reached there and took her to the Sadar Hospital. Later she was sent to Dhanbad for better treatment. Bengal Police has arrested three persons in this case. Police is interrogating the criminals.

However, the claim of the brother-in-law of the victim is different. He says that after receiving the news that the woman was not in the house on Wednesday night, she was being searched. She was found in a compromising position with the criminal near the house. Both were released after talks between the villagers. The next morning, out of embarrassment, the woman set her body on fire by sprinkling kerosene oil. Seeing her burning, we saved her and then admitted her to Sadar Hospital. Police Inspector Kamlesh Paswan said that if the complaint had been received on time, such a big incident would not have happened. The culprit Sunil Choudhary has been arrested. Another interrogation is going on. Further action will be taken based on the statement of the victim. Strict action will be taken against the culprits involved in the incident.
