The global crypto market capitalization gained 4.3 percent to USD936.39 billion on June 15, with major cryptocurrencies trading in the green. The overall crypto market volume, on the other hand, fell to USD103.41 billion.
The overall volume in DeFi was USD41.20 billion, down 26.34 percent from the previous day. The overall volume of all stable coins was USD157.28 billion, accounting for 34.36 percent of the total 24-hour volume of the crypto market.
Bitcoin's price was hovering at Rs 18 lakh, with a 44.7 percent market share. According to CoinMarketCap data, this was a 0.32 percent fall from the previous day.
Coinbase Global Inc said on Tuesday that it will reduce about 1,100 employees, or 18 percent of its workforce, as the cryptocurrency exchange preparing to ride a slump in the market.
The cryptocurrency market has been roiled by severe volatility as investors sold riskier assets, fearing that higher inflation readings will compel the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates more aggressively, tipping the country into recession.
