New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a big record as he takes on the field against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). This was his 200th match for CSK. He is the first player in the IPL to play 200 matches for a single franchise. He has captained 199 of these matches, the one match in which he played as a player was Captain Suresh Raina that match.
After this achievement of Dhoni, team coach Stephen Fleming made a big statement about him. He said that Dhoni is the 'heartbeat' of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). CSK won their first win of the season in this match against Punjab. In the low-scoring match, the team won by six wickets. After the match, Fleming said in a statement about Dhoni that there is no doubt that he has been the heartbeat of CSK. Whether it is performance, guidance, or leadership, his attitude towards the franchise is truly commendable.
Fleming further said that the desire to perform better even after playing 200 matches and dedication to the game and the team is worth watching. I think Dhoni has progressed along with the franchise. So it is a very good relationship.
