After Rakshabandhan Now Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s new movie Cuttputlli has hit the theatre today. Cuttputtli is a faithful remake of Ratsasan that has some pros and some cons, but won’t let down the audience of suspense thrillers as also the fans of Akshay Kumar.
Story of Cuttputlli
Akshay Kumar is playing the role of cop in the movie. Kasauli turns into a death zone when a psychopath starts targeting innocent school girls. The killer is smart and intelligent, and doesn't leave a clue or trace but leaves the dead body for police to find it easily. The movie is all about how Akshay Kumar solve this case and find out the serial killer. It is a faithful remake of the movie. You can watch it one time.
Speaking about the performances, Akshay Kumar is in his element. This can be termed his better performances of all the films released in 2022. He aces the cop avatar, and brings in the much-needed maturity to the character. While investigative sequences come to him naturally, he does well in emotional portions too.
Speaking about the performance of Rakul Preet Singh. The actress has a brief role in the movie. She gets a couple of moments to rise in the narrative in the second half but her performace is good. Chandrachur Singh and Sargun Mehta are fine in their respective characters of a cop. The actor who rises above all odds and makes his presence felt is Sujith Shankar. Sujith Sarkar stole the show. The film offers everything, ranging from action, drama, tear-jerker moments and a whole lot more. Not too good not too bad, one-time watchable.
Cuttputtli is an official remake of a Tamil Classic, Ratsasan, however, the makers have got the runtime of the original film down from 2 hour 50 minutes to 2 hour 14 minutes. Cuttputlli Helmed by Ranjit Tewari Cuttputlli also stars Sargun Mehta, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Chandrachur Singh. The film is an intense drama that will glue you to your seats with impressive production value and superlative performances.
