New Delhi [India], Apr 17 (NT): Amid a warm welcome Indian athlete Manika Batra on Tuesday landed in Delhi after winning four medals in table tennis at Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018.

"I am very happy with my performance and I always wanted to win a gold medal," she said as quoted by ANI.

Batra clinched four medals - two Golds, one silver and one bronze. She bagged one gold each in the women's singles and team event.

In the women's mixed team event, she defeated world no. 4 Feng Tianwei and Zhou Yihan to clinch gold for India in both singles match.

The 22-year-old settled her second gold after defeating Singapore's Yu Mengyu in the women's singles final.

With this, she also has become the first Indian woman to deliver two gold medals in table tennis at CWG.

She then went on to be the victor of silver in the women's doubles in conjunction with Mouma Das.

She clinched a bronze in the mixed doubles with Sathiyan Gnanasekaran. The duo had defeated Sharath Kamal and Mouma Das 11-6 11-2 11-4 in the bronze play-off.

India finished up CWG campaign 2018 with 66 medals in which 26 Gold, 20 Silver and 20 Bronze are included.
