Coronavirus is causing havoc in India. Now the cyclonic storm has started increasing its influence near the country's maritime boundary. The cyclonic storm Nisarg is likely to hit the coast of Maharashtra on Wednesday. In view of the devastation in Mumbai and Gujarat, a Red Alert has been issued and 20 teams of NDRF have been deployed in Maharashtra. Mumbai 8 teams, Raigad 5 teams, Palghar 2 teams, Thane 2 teams (1 round), Ratnagiri 2 teams and Sindhudurg 1 team have been deployed.

According to the Meteorological Department on this matter, like Amphan, it can also take its serious form. It has been raining since Tuesday evening in Maharashtra. Chemical and nuclear plants at Palghar and Raigad have also been threatened by this storm. Precautions are being taken for their safety. NDRF Director General SN Pradhan said that NDRF teams have been deployed in Maharashtra and Gujarat in view of the severe cyclonic storm called 'Nisarg'. In this, 20 teams have been deployed in Maharashtra and 11 teams in Gujarat. However, Gujarat has asked for five more teams.

In view of the cyclone 'Nisarg', more than 21 thousand people have been evacuated from villages in Palghar district of Maharashtra to safe places. The storm is expected to hit the west coast of the state on June 3. District Magistrate Kailas Shinde said on Tuesday that 21,080 villagers from Vasai, Palghar, Dahanu and Talasari districts have been evacuated to safe places. He said that the District Disaster Management Program has been implemented. All industrial and commercial establishments will remain closed during this period. The District Magistrate said that fishermen have been asked not to go to sea till June 4. In the wake of the cyclone, 10 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in the state.
