After cyclone Gulab, Shaheen is now expected to hit the Gujarat coast. In fact, cyclonic storm Shaheen seems to be intensifying in the northeast Arabian Sea and its surrounding areas. It is a deep depression near the coast of Gujarat. On the other hand, in view of the storm crisis, the Gujarat government has come into active mode. A meeting is being held by the Government with officials and the NDRF team. In fact, the MET department has also issued a warning of heavy rain in Gujarat for 3 days. The MET department has said in a statement that the wind speed in the coastal areas of Gujarat is likely to blow at a speed of 60-150 kmph.

Let me tell you that the administration has been put on alert in all the districts of Gujarat in view of the cyclonic storm. With this, NDRF and SDRF teams have started their work in 17 districts. The MET department has asked fishermen not to go to the Arabian Sea here. It has been advised to suspend fishing and any kind of marine activities by 2nd October.

Recently, the MET department has said, "Heavy rain is likely to occur in Amreli, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Anand and Bharuch and other districts of Saurashtra in the next two days. The cyclonic storm is likely to move northwestwards towards the Pakistan-Makran coast and move away from the Indian coast.'' It is also said that the storm will gradually move westwards in the Arabian Sea, reaching Iran's border region parallel to Pakistan's coastline.
