Palghar: A ship has been stranded on the sea shore due to a storm in Palghar in Maharashtra. Now, in the meantime, there is a concern that the ship is now leaking oil, and this has increased the threat to life. The ship is said to have about 80,000 litres of diesel and hit a rock due to a storm. There are also reports that the ship is stranded in Vadrai area of Palghar district.

In fact, the ship originated from Alibaug, but after being hit by a cyclone, the ship is now stuck on stones. The distance from Alibaug to Palghar district is said to be about 350 kilometres. Let us also inform all of you that this sea area of Vadrai is very rocky. In fact, many pieces of this ship are also seen flowing into the sea.

It has also come to light that the ship has been stranded for several days. If the ship continues to leak  oil, it can harm animals and marine organisms in the area. You all must be aware that many ONGC ships with more than 600 people were stranded in offshore areas during Cyclone Taute. Many people lost their lives due to the trapping of those ships and the events that followed.
