Omicron has created panic all over the world and now another new variant of coronavirus has emerged among them. In fact, recently researchers in Cyprus discovered this new variant of the virus, which is currently part of the discussions. This new virus consists of delta and omicron. Let me tell you all that the delta variant was responsible for the second wave of corona in India, which led to a large number of deaths. According to a report by a well-known website, Leondios Kostrikis, a professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus, has named the variant 'Deltacron.'

It has been named because of its omicron-like genetic signature within the delta genome. According to the report, Kostrikis and his team have so far found 25 cases related to this variant of the virus. So far it is not clear whether there are other cases of this variant or how dangerous it can be. At the same time, he added, "We will see in the future whether this strain is more contagious or will prevail.'' In fact, in an interview with Sigma TV, he said, "He believes that there is more infectious omicron than Deltacron.'' The report revealed that researchers have sent their results to GISAID this week. It is an international database that tracks viruses. The 'Deltacron' variant discovery comes at a time when the world is already troubled by omicron.

At present, the cases of omicron variants are on the rise worldwide and due to this, the cases of Covid-19 have also seen a sharp increase worldwide. A new variant of coronavirus was also identified in France earlier this month. So far, 46 mutations have been observed in this variant of the virus. According to scientists, the variant was first found in a person travelling to the African country of Cameroon. Tell you that the new variant was named B.1.640.2.
