After the removal from the post of group chairman, Cyrus Mistry is still the chairman and non-executive director of Tata Motors Ltd., owner of Jaguar land rover; Tata Power Ltd. and Indian Hotels Co., which runs the Pierre in New York. As these establishments are not dominantly owned by the Tata Sons therefore evicting Cyrus Mistry has made it more difficult for them.

This has divided the power the Tata Empire in two majors, Ratan Tata and Cyrus Mistry. Soon a meeting will be held where all the directors of the Tata Empire will get summoned to discuss the earnings of July-September quarter. This will indicate the investors how the new dual power structure will work.

The market value of the Tata Group has depreciated about $3.5 billion since the removal of Cyrus Mistry from the post of Chairperson.

According to the experts, this will no longer let the Tata companies enjoy the ‘Tata Premium’ as well as no decisions can be taken until the company finds the new successor of Mistry.
