Lucknow:A man shot a husband and wife on Tuesday morning in Chak Dukhar village under Kolhua Pandeypur gram sabha of Suriyawan police station area in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. 55-year-old Changur Pal and his 52-year-old wife Budhna Devi were shot in the stomach. Both were taken to the district hospital in injured condition. Where doctors have referred him to Trauma Center Varanasi. On getting information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Dr. Anil Kumar also reached. While registering a named case against four people, the police have arrested one of the accused.

It is being told that there is a dispute going on for a long time between Chhangur Pal and Devraj Pal over the possession of the leased land given by the Gram Sabha. On Tuesday morning, the accused Devraj was getting construction done on it. Which was opposed by Chhangur Ram. During this, there was a dispute between the two. It is alleged that Devraj took out a pistol and opened fire. The bullet hit the stomach of Changur Ram. When wife Budhna Devi protested, she was also shot. The shooting caused a sensation in the village. The accused fled from the spot before people gathered.

Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered against four people including accused Devraj in Suriyawa police station in other cases including attempt to murder. One of the accused has been taken into custody for questioning. He claimed that soon all the accused would be arrested. In view of the tension in the village, police personnel have been deployed.
