Lucknow: A Dalit man was reported to have been assaulted on Holi (March 18) in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur. After which many media houses had spread the news that on the day of Holi, the Dalit youth Aadesh Kumar was called and made him wash the utensils. When the glass of wine fell due to the foot of this Dalit youth, the angry dabangs, after assaulting the Dalit youth, made a Trishul mark on his forehead with acid.

Amar Ujala Print in its report wrote that Anil Kumar, a resident of Kanshiram Colony under Sadar police station area of Saharanpur (the police have given the name order) had lodged a complaint with SSP Akash Tomar. Aadesh told the police that he had taken the contract to dig the foundation stone in Krishnapuri Colony. On March 18, a glass of wine fell off┬аwhile cleaning the room. Angry with this, the accused made a mark of Trishul on his forehead with acid and also wrote Happy Holi on his cheek. At the same time, The Quint also did ground reporting of the incident. The Quint shared a video of the victim, in which the victim's order claims that at 10:30 am on the 18th, the dabangs brought him and asked him to do his job. He was asked to wash the glass and when he was returning from thereafter washing the glass, a glass of wine fell due to his feet. At this, a boy named Tinku punched him in the eye and strangulated him and said, 'Teach him such a lesson that he will not forget for the rest of his life.'

At the same time, now the Saharanpur police have fact-checked the incident of Trishul being made from acid and said that acid has not been detected after the medical test of the victim. This dispute is said to be a money transaction. In this case, the SSP of the district said, "In the case of making a Trishul from acid, the investigation has revealed that the man was drinking alcohol with his two friends on the day of Holi. After drinking alcohol, the three put colour on each other's faces, which had a reaction on the faces of all three. This Aadesh┬аhad borrowed Rs 10,000 from his friends and did not have money┬аto pay back, for which he made false allegations. After the fact check by the UP Police itself, it has become clear that many media houses are spreading fake news on this matter.
