Dabur India Pvt. Ltd. today reported a 5% growth in profit in the second quarter of the fiscal. The Consolidated net profit amount is at Rs. 357.3 crore till 30th September 2016. In comparison to the last fiscal at the same quarter the company had a net profit of Rs. 340.20 crore. Whereas the revenue for the company this quarter stood at Rs1.975.7 crore. The revenue that was recorded last year showed a figure of Rs. 1955.3 crore. Resulting an increment of 1 per cent.

"The overall business environment continued to be challenging with consumer demand remaining slack in India while overseas geographies like the Middle East and Africa hit by worsening geopolitical situation." Sunil Duggal CEO, Dabur India.

He also said that they confident in their brands and will continue to invest them for future. Even in a tough environment, we have navigated the external business environment well and our domestic FMCG business ended Q2 of 2016-17 with a volume growth of 4.5 per cent," Duggal said.
