Tibetan cleric Dalai Lama has recently written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. In this letter, he said, "He expresses his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the devastating floods in his state and prays for them. His colleagues reported this today, Sunday." In fact, he said that due to the devastating floods in the last few days, life and property in Maharashtra has been badly damaged.

Many people's lives have been affected by this. At the same time, in his letter, the Dalai Lama further said, "I know that the state government concerned authorities are doing everything possible to help the people affected by this severe monsoon rains. As a sign of our solidarity with the people of Maharashtra, I have asked the Dalai Lama Trust to donate for relief rescue efforts."

On the other hand, the State Disaster Management Authority has said, "The death toll due to floods in Maharashtra has gone up to 112 while 99 others are missing."
