Virat kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is going through the worst phase. The team has lost all the games she played in the current season.  A RCB franchise have got a major boost in the form of South African speedster Dale Steyn's re-inclusion in the squad. The 35-year-old, who has earlier been a part of RCB, returns to the IPL after missing out from the cash-rich league since the 2016 edition. Since then, injuries have limited his presence whereas he was unsold in the last auction, held in last December at Jaipur. The pacer will replace Australia's Nathan Coulter-Nile, who has opted out of the tournament with a back niggle.

Steyn was picked up by RCB in the inaugural auction (2008) and was a part of the franchise till 2010. During this period, he claimed 27 scalps from 28 encounters.  Besides,  Steyn has also been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and now-defunct sides like Gujarat Lions (GL) and Deccan Chargers (DC). The bowleer  will be available for selection from April 19 (when RCB will play their reverse tie versus Kolkata Knight Riders).

Coulter-Nile’s absence will surely hurt RCB who have not yet managed to open their account in this IPL.
