Lahore: A Pakistani court has issued an arrest warrant against Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. The arrest warrant has been issued for shooting a dance video at a historic mosque in Lahore. Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Sayeed did not appear in several court hearings, so the Magisterial Court in Lahore issued a bailable warrant. The court has now adjourned the hearing to October 6.

Lahore police had registered a case under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed last year. Saba and Bilal are accused of allegedly suppressing Lahore's Masjid Wazir Khan by shooting a dance video. According to FIR, the two artists shot a dance video at the mosque, which had sparked a heated argument. The Punjab government had also dismissed two senior officials in connection with a violation of the sanctity of the mosque.

Saba Qamar and Bilal Sayeed had also apologized for the controversy after the controversy escalated. Saba had clarified that it was a music video with a marriage scene. No playback music was used while shooting it. Nor was it edited in the music track. Saba has also acted in Bollywood films. She appeared in the film Hindi Medium with late actor Irrfan Khan which received a lot of appreciation. The film was liked a lot.
