Jeremy Solojano, who made his debut in the first Test between West Indies and Sri Lanka, suffered a serious injury due to the match. The injury was so dangerous that he was taken off the field on a stretcher, then rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Solojano, 26, is playing his first match. The player, who was fielding at short leg, hit the grill of his helmet after which he fell there and was immediately taken out of the field by the medical staff.

The case took place in the 24th over. The shot-scorers were Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne.
