Aniruddha Pathak, the creator and producer of the television show 'Dastan-e-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali', said that his show based on Shahzada Salim and Anarkali is different from the films and serials that were before released or seen.
This show tells the story of becoming Kaniz (Muljim) Mallika-A-Hindustan. Many times, the story has come to the screen that the son of Emperor Akbar, Salim, raised his voice in front of his father for his love with Kaniz Anarkali. Maker of the show, Aniruddha told leading daily: "The journey of separation (Salim and Anarkali) is the main part of our story because nobody knows what happened then. Our show is about how a Muljima becomes Malika-e-Hindustan."
This story has been shown many times in films, including Dilip Kumar and Madhubala starring Mughal-e-Azam. Aniruddha said that his show was different from earlier projects. He said, "We have come with a new show based on the love story of Salim and Anarkali."
In the television show 'Dastan-e-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali', Shaheer Sheikh portrays Salim and actress Sonarika Bhadoria is in the role of Anarkali.
“For a long time, I have been wanting to do something in this space. The royal feel and speaking Urdu, it was on my mind. I have been in talks with Colors for a long time but nothing exciting was happening. When they called me for Salim, I instantly knew this is what I wanted to do. It is such a complex character that it’s a dream role for any actor”, said Shaheer on working in the show.
