There has been an atmosphere of mourning all over the country since the death of India's first CDS, his wife, and 11 other army personnel in the same helicopter crash. As soon as the remains of General Rawat, wrapped in a coffin wrapped in the Tricolor, were placed in flower-adorned artillery, people showered flower petals and raised slogans like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'Vande Mataram', 'As long as the sun remains the moon, Rawat Ji's name will remain' and 'General Rawat Amar Rahe'.
