In the latest update, it reads that  the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has decided to conduct a common entrance test (CET) tentatively in August for admission in professional courses offered by its teaching departments.

A decision to this effect was taken in a virtual meeting of heads of teaching departments on Thursday. As per official statement, “The university planned CET in the second week of August thinking that it would wind up UG final year exams in June and declare results by July end.”

Though DAVV did not want to hold CET this year following the Covid-19 crisis, uncertainty over Class 12th exams pushed it towards the test which is likely to be held in online mode. Initially, the DAVV had thought of granting admissions in after-school courses on the basis of marks of students in Class 12th. But Class 12th exams have been cancelled and now students would be promoted on average marks.

In such a situation, DAVV thought it would be better to go for CET again. Sharma stated that they would increase the number of test centres in the state. Small districts like Khargone, Khandwa, Satna can also be made test centres. CET is a national level exams of DAVV which is held in around 25 cities across the country.
