Dawood Ibrahim's right hand arrested in double murder case

Recently, the Anti-Extortion Cell of Thane Police has arrested Tariq Parveen. The criminal is said to be second in command or right hand of criminal underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, in a 1998 double murder case, officers says.

Tariq Parveen (51) was seized from a shop in Ashoka Shopping Centre at LT Road. The place is situated near Crawford Market in South Mumbai, states Thane AEC chief Pradeep Sharma.

As per the reports stated in TOI, Parveen is slated as one of the accused in the murder case of cable operator Mohammad Ibrahim Bangdiwala, 38. Parveen's business partner Parvez Ansari (41), who was allegedly shot dead by a gang of seven persons in Kismat Colony in Mumbra.

"We got a tip-off that Tariq was hiding in a shop in Ashoka Shopping Centre. Therefore, we raided the shop and arrested him," officers further added.

The murders were a fallout of the battle over the cable business. It is an offence that had been recorded with Mumbra police station in this connection. Parveen has been handed over to the Mumbra police for further action, officials added.

Dawood Ibrahim is mentioned in many of the police records, also is in the wanted in many of the nations.
