New Delhi: Two Corona vaccines have been approved for emergency use by the Controller General of Indian Medicine. In fact, one of the corona vaccines that has been approved for emergency use is the Covishield in Oxford and the other one is the Covaxin India. Today, DCGI has announced this in a press conference. Now Adar Poonawala, the head of the Serum Institute, expressed happiness about this. Yes, in a tweet, he congratulated everyone by wishing him a happy new year.

He said in his tweet, "Happy New Year to all! All the risks taken by the Serum Institute of India for the vaccine stock finally settled. Covishield, India's first Corona vaccine, has received approval, which is completely safe and effective and ready to roll-out in the coming weeks." Earlier Poonawala had said in the past that 'we have so much vaccine stock that can meet the need of the whole country'.
Covishield - Regarding the Covishield of Oxford-Astragenica, its production work has been given to Serum Institute of India. In fact, the Serum Institute of India (SSI) says that the 'Covishield vaccine will also prove to be effective on the new strain of Corona. Covishield has proved to be 70 per cent safe in trials. Well today on Sunday, DCGI told in a press conference that, 'Serum and Bharat Biotech vaccine can be kept in the temperature between two to eight degrees. If the vaccine is kept outside the refrigerator too, it will not spoil for 10 days.'
Covaxin- This is India's indigenous covid19 vaccine Covaxin, prepared by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - National Institute of Virology (NIV).
