Kerala plane crash: Body of co-pilot reached Mathura, funeral to be held today

Mathura: Co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar Bhardwaj, who was from Mathura, UP, was also killed in a horrific accident at Kozhikode airport in Kerala late on Friday evening. The body of Akhilesh Kumar reached his home in Mathura on Sunday morning, where he will be cremated. Let us tell you that the flight returning from Dubai to Kozhikode airport was slipped on the runway due to heavy rains and split into two.

So far 20 people have lost their lives in this tragic accident, including two pilots, while more than 100 people are said to be injured. Akhilesh Kumar Bhardwaj's house is in Pothara Kud under Govind Nagar police station area of Mathura district. Akhilesh Kumar joined Air India in 2017.

Let us tell you that the Air India aircraft that was the victim of the accident had returned to India with passengers under the Vande Mataram Mission. Meanwhile, the aircraft fell into an accident while landing on the runway. Coming from Dubai, the aircraft had 190 passengers, including pilots and crew members. Air India was informed about the accident at around 10:30 pm. On receiving information about the accident, weeds fell into the family of the pilot.
