Lucknow: Dilbag Singh, the district president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait) and an eyewitness to the Lakhimpur violence, was attacked by two unidentified miscreants. The police gave information in this regard on Wednesday. He said that the attack took place on Tuesday night when Dilbagh Singh was returning home in his SUV from Aliganj-Muda road in Gola Kotwali area when two men opened fire on him. However, Singh did not suffer any injuries in this attack.

Please tell that Singh's name is also among the witnesses of the Tikunia violence of October 3, 2021. Eight people, including four farmers, a journalist, were killed in the Tikunia violence. Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra is in jail in this case. Singh said over the phone that the miscreants punctured a tire of his SUV due to which he had to stop the vehicle. He said, "The miscreants on the bike tried to open the door and window of the SUV, but when they failed, they fired two bullets at the window pane towards the driver's seat."

Singh said that he himself was driving the car and was alone in the vehicle. Sensing the intention of the attackers, he folded the driving seat and leaned down, he said. Since the window was covered with black film and nothing was visible from outside, the attackers could not see their position in the SUV and fled on their bikes.
